TONG is the eponymous brand of the Los Angeles-based design studio, Tong Design Studio, a multidisciplinary design studio specializing in lighting, furniture, and object design. While Tong Design Studio collaborates with other brands on product design, TONG serves as the studio’s in-house brand for its own collections. Both the brand and studio primarily serve architects and interior designers specifying lighting and furniture for high-end commercial and hospitality spaces.
Founded in 2025 by designer Xiaotong Wang, TONG’s work bridges traditional Chinese cultural references with Western modernist design language, bringing historical sensibilities into dialogue with contemporary forms.
Tong Design Studio approaches design as a balance between function and emotional resonance, placing strong emphasis on precision in manufacturing and thoughtful materials use.
